- My career has spanned biology, computer aided design, technical data management, visualization, GIS, and information management. I earned a Ph.D. in biology, with an emphasis on ecology and evolution, botany, and entomology. I worked as a software engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation, developing computer-aided design, data management, and CAD framework systems. I developed data visualizations and a data management system for a hydrology research project at CRS4 in Italy. I spent the dotcom era working on information management and information retrieval problems for search engine companies. Now I work at The Nature Conservancy and am responsible for enterprise application architecture and software development practices. We use Plone on ConserveOnline and on our intranet.

- My interest is leveraging Plone for rapid development of content-ish conservation applications and small intranet apps.
