Starting by building a plone tool. Using Zope 2 for now. Let us know if you want to have access to the code.Might want to see how Alec Mitchell has used Zope 3 annotations to assign ratings to content in his contentratings product. The same method could be used to assign licenses to content.
- Is this deployed somewhere where we can look at it? Pulled down the product, but looks like it takes extra work to integrate it with a content object in order to see it working.
Should also try to integrate with the "Copyright" Dublin Core metadata field exposed through the Properties tab.
- Wondering if this is the right field. The "Rights" field in DC is used to state who owns the rights to the content i.e. Copyright 2006 - Someone. There is a DC extended field "license" that looks like it is more appropriate, but would mean adding a field to the Extensible Metadata in Archetypes. Thoughts?
- Looking at http://dublincore.org/documents/dcmi-terms/ for the above.
