There are many ways people can support our effort to acquire and develop the .nyc TLD. This page describes and links you to those opportunities.

Help us in one of the following ways.

  • Can you cook cookies?
  • Can you help keep our books?
  • Can you help us figure out how a community group can integrate the net into its traditional operation without making the leaders feel left out?
  • Can you imagine a way to set up an early warning system that will let New Yorkers know when someone is using one of our names to cheat people out of their savings?
  • Can you imagine a way we can integrate the web into the traditional governance system, possibly boosting the capability of the community boards?
  • Can you be the official greeter at our face to face meetings?
  • Can you imagine neighborhood boundaries in an electronically networked era?
  • Can you put us in touch with civic groups looking for speakers?

Help Out By Using One or All of the Following

  • Request a Presentation -  We can come to your organization or do a tele-presentation.
  • Make an Endorsement - Sign our endorsement page and tell the world you support our effort.
  • Make a donation - We need financial and equipment contributions.
  • Create Marketing Materials - Videos, web pages, feeder pages, a jingle, game, and other web and print materials are needed.
  • Volunteers & Interns - If you have some time to contribute or want to help out and/or learn from our effort, we'll make a space for you. 
  • Sign the Petition - Tell the world you support the development of .nyc a s a public interest resource for New York City's residents and organizations.
  • Et cetera - For additional information about our effort and areas where you might assist, dig into the following Key .nyc Pages. Keep in mind that this is a wiki and we're looking for ideas.
