Responses to the RFI

The deadline for responding to the RFI was May 27, 2009. Our response can be downloaded here.

There are several ways to contribute to our collaborative response to the city's inquiry.

.

We applaud the city's outreach effort and will organize a collaborative effort by Connecting.nyc Inc.'s community over the next weeks to assemble an informative body of information to assist the city with the development of policies on this important issue.

Our goal is submit a body of helpful information to DoITT by the May 27th deadline. It is presumed that DoITT will review our information and that provided by others and develop a Request for Proposals for entities that interested in presenting the application to ICANN and (perhaps separately) developing and operating the TLD. These decisions will be based, in part, upon the RFI answers -  submitted by Connecting.nyc Inc. and others, as well as city laws, regulations, and goals.

DoITT's questions are presented below. However, note that the city welcomes any and all input. Currently we expect to present a body of information from this wiki as "consensus" with an appendix of "other information." If you have thoughts that you'd rather not wiki, send them to info@connectingnyc.org or send your thoughts directly to DoITT via jblanc@doitt.nyc.gov.

Here are the proffered questions. Enter your thoughts on our RFI Wiki Workspace here.
