Plone Logo Guidelines
last modified May 15, 2009 by egj
We are looking for feedback from Marketing folks and non-marketers alike regarding a set of guidelines on how to use the Plone logo effectively across a broad range of media. You can get a copy of the draft of this document by going to the attachments at the bottom of this page.
We're interested in your take on the guidelines. Do they provide enough information to help you with your publications, posters, t-shirts? Do you think they are too restrictive ... or not restrictive enough? What would you add? Does anything need more explanation than it currently gets.
Please respond with your feedback to the #plone-tuneup channel in IRC during our marketing sprint on 5/15/2009 or via email outside of the Tuneup to Mark Corum - mark@plone.org and Gabrielle Hendryx-Parker - gabrielle@sixfeetup.com
The Rules in General
Logo Elements
The Plone logo has three elements - a device, a wordmark, and a trademark. These elements must be used together, and may not be separated in presentation. (This is a guideline for use of the logo in print materials. For marketing and promotional materials we have a separate set of guidelines regarding the use of the device (Plone circle and dots) separate from the word "Plone".)
Font
The wordmark and trademark must use the font DIN. No other font is acceptable.
Minimum Size
The logo must be displayed at a readable size.
Logo color
The logo must be white, black or the selected Plone Blue. Pantone, RGB, CMYK and hex values are given for blue.
Clear Space
A clear space must be provided around the logo so it doesn't become lost.
Backgrounds
Logo can be used on black, white or solid color backgrounds within the bounds of readability and providing proper contrast.
