Team leader: Christian "MrTopf" Scholz
Team members: Ihor Berehulyak, Olha Pelishok, Karl Horak
Brainstorming
- Create more call-to-actions for plone.org homepage: Twitter, Facebook, Newsletter (business)
- Collect ways to do social media marketing measurement (e.g. followers on twitter, mentions, etc. also check for "mood" of responses)
- Collect places where to engage with communities and find new people. Ongoing process.
- Find people managing twitter, facebook etc.
- plone.tv situation, what should/will happen with it? Who will do it? Categorization
- Instructions on how to create screencasts in Linux, Mac, Windows
- How to encourage people to make screencasts about Plone, Products etc.
- Define a reaction-plan for social media, who responds on blogs, twitter etc. (engagement, support)
- How to reduce video publishing times for conferences?
- How to motivate the community in doing more blogging, twittering etc.
- How to syndicate all social media assets better on plone.org
- Look at other projects what they do
- Download-Counters for products etc. What products are popular, also do statistics on it
- Create "I use Plone" badges? Same for conferences "I go to PloneConf Budapest"
- Get rid of the Logo Usage guidelines ;-) (or at least make it clearer where to ask and make sure that response is timely). Designers sometimes don't know what is allowed and what isn't. This creates frustration. So in general it shouldn't be in the way of community activities and also shouldn't be applicable to user generated content but to official Plone material.
- Create processes for all above (who gives OK, shouldn't be the board, but report to the board)
- Plone Channel on YouTube, Vimeo, etc. (also for other media)
- Who has access to all plone accounts? Where are passwords collected? Who decides who has access to what?
- How to select favourite media assets. Bookmarklet etc.? Could be syndicated separately -> more control
- How to get lots of people for doing all of the above?
- Define social media campaiging guidelines. What should happen on which channel if X happens (X being conference etc.)
- For projects like conferences create instructions on how to do social media coverage
- short-term activity: Register upcoming events on several services (@ploneconf2010, 2011, ...)
- How to get the http://facebook.com/plone page back? Is there a TM process? (http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=username_infringement)
- Create a list of services and responsible persons ("who manages the Facebook Fan page?")
- see who else is doing marketing for Plone in this field and coordinate efforts (spreadplone)
-
Plan
Short term activities
- Create a list of all the services we should use (with priorities)
- Find people responsible for these services (if not existing already)
- For each service define metrics and somebody who measures and reports them (Karl Horak)

- Create a list of all Plone channels on various services on plone.org
- Register accounts on all of these services also for events like conferences (namechk.com)
- Get back the Facebook Fan page
- Communicate with evangelism list more#
- Reclaim all URLs on various services like YouTube etc. (check!)
