• UniversVideo is a python transcoding and embedding product. It works for wordpress, django and others, but requires access to video files. Could be modified. Handles transcoding into ogg and h.264, and handles fallback ogg->h.264->flash-h.264->object
• pyMedia is a python wrapper for ffmpeg that creates a transcoding library.
