Add an audio file
- Go to your member folder
- Choose File from the add new item menu
- Browse for an MP3 or Ogg file on your local harddrive and click submit (no need to enter a Title)
Add video file
- Go to your member folder
- Choose File from the add new item menu
- Browse for Quicktime, Windows Media or Real video file on your local harddrive and click submit (no need to enter a Title)
Add an embedded video
- Go to your member folder
- Choose Link from the add new item menu
- Paste in the full URL from a Youtube, Google Video, Blip.tv, or direct link to an .mpg, .mov or other video file hosted elsewhere on the net.
- Choose Activate Video Link from the actions menu
Assign a Creative Commons license
- While viewing the audio file, click on the Properties tab
- Choose a Creative Commons license from the Copyright field
Create an audio listing or podcast from a Folder
- Go to your member folder
- Choose Folder from the add new item menu
- Add some audio files to this folder
- Choose Activate Audio from the actions menu
Create an audio listing / podcast from a Smart Folder
- Go to your member folder
- Choose Smart Folder from the add new item menu
- Fill out the edit form and click Save
- Click on the Criteria tab and add a new criterion Item Type = File
- Choose Activate Audio from the actions menu
Create a calendar from a Folder
- Go to your member folder
- Choose Folder from the add new item menu
- Add some events to this folder (choose Event from add new item menu)
- Choose Activate Calendar from the actions menu
- Choose a view (Month, Event listing, Event archive) from the display menu
Create a calendar from a Smart Folder
- Go to your member folder
- Choose Smart Folder from the add new item menu
- Fill out the edit form and click Save
- Click on the Criteria tab and add a new criterion Item Type = Event
- Choose Activate Calendar from the actions menu
- Choose a view (Month, Event listing, Event archive) from the display menu
Publish your iCal calendar to Plone
- Copy the URL of your member folder (i.e. http://plone4artists.com/Members/nateaune)
- Using Apple iCal, choose Publish... from the Calendar menu
- Choose a Private server from the Publish on menu
- Paste in the URL into the Base URL field
- Type in your plone4artists.com username and password and click Publish
- Go to your member folder and you will see your folderish calendar containing all the events.
