    I agree, the changelog discussion belongs on the mailing list.  As  
    such, I've CC'ed it there.
    
    I think your decision with regards to number 2 is the right one.  In  
    terms of changes from the previous version that makes no sense.
    
    I'm for making some broader announcement about what has changed.  Some  
    sort of release announcement, as it were.  That way we can talk in a  
    broader sense about what has changed.  I've been working on an outline  
    for this.  Ray, since it was you who picked the codename for the  
    release, do you want to say anything about why you chose it?  I'll put  
    my outline on an etherpad later today.
