  • Upgraded Editor for Wikipages and Blog Posts

last modified November 28, 2010 by egj

Today we upgraded the editor used for wikipages and blog posts, now providing support for all major browsers. Thanks to everybody who helped beta-test the editor.

We've now upgraded CoActivate's version of Xinha, the WYSIWYG editor you use when editing wiki pages or blog posts on the site.

The new version includes a lot of changes -- some of the most notable are:

  • Support for users of Opera, Safari and Chrome browsers
  • A new system for pop-up dialogs
  • Many new translations in the interface

I've also enabled two new buttons: "Insert Anchor" and "Insert Footnote".  You can find both buttons on the left-hand side of the toolbar -- one looks like a foot, and the other looks like an anchor.  Anchors can be used to build links between sections in a single page, and footnotes provide an extension of that feature.

If you find any bugs or have any problems using the new editor, or need any help, please let us know.
